9 pages of purchases! wow I wish I was that rich with plants 🌴💸😂

@kinzyjr your efforts are appreciated,  having big threads to just post updates periodically makes so much more sense than repetitive posts and also offers a sort of timeline you wouldn’t otherwise see

Iam in a mission and that’s to plant as many exotic palms I can find. The more exotic the better!

Richard, I'm sure you'll succeed. After all, you already have many species, which I've learned about thanks to you.
I think we all appreciate your effort in posting so many posts here! This keeps us busy reading your posts.

I was asked a few years ago by someone who just met me, do you have any children? My answer was no I don’t have children his reply was, well you have money if you have no kids.
I never looked at them as repetitive I was just sharing my plants and the joy of such great plants, I had no idea you could put them all together or even know how to do such a thing, but iam glad @kinzyjr has put them all together, iam totally amazed at how many plants I have purchased for one and it’s a great diary to have in the format they are in!

I'm so sorry, Richard, for intruding on your private life, but this person who responded to you like this is an ignoramus!
I have two brothers who don't have children, and they're happier than me, and they have a lot more money than me, but that doesn't matter. As you know, when I went through the difficult period of illness, my brothers spent a lot of money on me.

As you know, I have a son, and God gave him to me, very humble even though he studied hard. He's a physicist and a mathematician. Furthermore, my plants are like children to me, and I know many people on this forum who don't have children and who dedicate themselves to plants.

Well, I don't have kids either. But I am quite the man. There's a lot of ignorance and disrespect out there. The world is full of unhinged people.

and with you Mr Ugo,And there are already six people I know on this forum who don't have children!
We can certainly all agree that there's a lot of ignorance! Just married and just back from their honeymoon, many people were asking to my wife "Are you already pregnant?" And it had only been about ten days since the wedding. These people made me think about how much ignorance and immorality there is.

Of course, my friend Giuseppe. We are a human civilization, not beasts. I believe that other worlds inhabited by humans with different cultures and civilizations are closer to what God intends us to be, with strong morals and respect for others.

I also left school at age 16 went and got a job, and have been employed in the workforce that entire time.
I watch the migrants who move to Australia as I see a lot them come and go at work, I  say to them in Australia you don’t get a house and a setup in just one year of working, as this is what they think due to the amount of bills and the cost of living. But I also say you will get it if you work long term it won’t happen overnight but it does happen success in your life if you work.
To raise a child it is very costly and through curcumstances out of my control I had no children, and as a child there was not a lot too go around so to speak.
I have worked hard for what I have and still continue to do so and iam proud of the fact I have worked all my life.

What I have now is making up for not having a lot as a child.
Your proud of your son and I can tell that you speak highly of his achievements and what he has accomplished through hard work, your son has stood by his father and mother not forgetting his family values and what they stand for.

You have had health issues that have been difficult times for both you and your family, stand proud they stood by the great family member you are.

We are the wisest of the wise. And that's all there is to it. Your palm trees are the most beautiful there are. You have a great collection of palm trees. And we all have a healthy envy of you. My palm trees are the most precious thing I have in the plant kingdom. And they bring me immense joy.

Have a look at those lucky Hawaii growers they are the ones and many others on palmtalk, it’s not just my palms that have all the beauty. I may have a collection in containers that’s part of the challenge in growing palms but they are yet to go in the garden that’s part two of the challenge success in the ground. If I can get a palm to produce seeds then I have achieved that challenge!

I’ve always heard that getting plants and seeds into Oz was difficult due to their ag rules. Are those domestic growers or?

That’s the one acclimate them, the odd one or two may remain in containers until i have spare stock after i propagate them. That’s one of my goals collecting as much stock plants as possible even if I have 3 of the same species and they grow well I wish to have more as seed stock. Also for palm seed stock plants you need at least 5 in a group planting. Someone in the future will have one heck of a palm collection I know that much.

Live plants difficult and expensive, possible but they are not encouraging home growers to do it that’s for sure. Seeds are easy if you understand the system and their process!

Tracking them down would be the hard part for you. Seeds are available at certain times but have to be viable to start with. Definitely worth growing!
