Hey so I'm new to tropical gardening (previously lived in the desert).  I have a pair of Hyophorbe lagenicaulis (one that I think might have rot acquired during the hot season), an Adonidia merrillii triple and a single Cocos nucifera.  Daytime highs have been between 75 and 85 here the last couple weeks (except for Thanksgiving weekend, where we stayed in the 60s for almost two straight days) and night time lows have been between 55 and 65F.  They are predicted to continue.

I have heard that these palms struggle in cool winters.  I wouldn't think these temps are too cool but would be interested to hear the perspectives of experienced growers.

Thoughts?

Those species won't be affected by your temperatures, those palms will get affected below 2C though, especially the Adonidia. Cocos nucifera (Depends on the variety) get moderately damaged below -1C (with rain) but will come back if treated properly.
