Pretty well much if grow plants you need an area you can work your plants in for repotting or just general plant maintenance. You end up with hundreds of pots and trays of al, sorts of sizes to suit your cultivation needs. Space is the utmost importance with the bench itself having everything on hand with easy access to various size containers. You also need to get your soil there (in bulk in my case) along with access to water. Plus you need it close to where  you intend on growing the plants. You need it be dry so your soil will pour into the containers well and it’s handy to work on a rainy day when the plants won’t get stressed in the heat. But without it you pretty well much have made growing plants uncomfortable but what you can produce with it is another story.
