    Hmmmm, noticed these flower buds a couple of days ago after 25 years after planting. Kinda stoked.

    We’ll see what happens.

    They are dioecious so you’ll need to find a friend for it. Or maybe a Ceroxylon or Ravenea sp if you’re feeling experimental.

    Ufta! I did not know that IMPORTANT fact. I doubt I will ever get pollen from my puny, 20 year old, unhappy, C. alpinum, but the R. hillebrandtii might work. 

    Jonathan is closer so he’ll have to light the pyre.
