Palm seed identification

Featured Replies

Was driving by a house in St. Pete (Tampa) and came across these seeds being thrown out for trash pickup. Gathered some up but didn’t get a chance to see which palm they came from. I assumed immature Wodyetia bifurcata (foxtail) seeds but was unsure. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I believe you are correct with immature Wodyetia bifurcata.  Probably won't germinate but won't hurt to try.

@CodyM You might have some luck with the seeds from the orange fruit if the seed is full sized.  The green ones I've never tried.  I chronicled my method on @DoomsDave's recent thread:
