Guihaia heterosquama - new cold-hardy species?

Howdy all -

I was researching different species that are part of the Trachycarpaea tribe for possible mates for hybridizing Trachycarpus with. I came across a species described in 2019, Guihaia heterosquama.

In the paper by Li et al., the authors write: "Guihaia is thought to be restricted to tropical and south-subtropical areas without snowfall all the year round (Wei 1997; Huang 2012; 2016). Unexpectedly, a population was discovered at Shijia Valley located in Fuling district of Chongqing, where it snows in winter; we could not place the palm in any of the previously reported species."

This new species, then, is described as growing in the temperate biome where snow falls. Has anyone seen and/or heard of this species yet?
