The gardeners came by today like usual but they did add over pruned my palm at least from how I see it. They cut about 5-6 fronds. I’m not fully sure if this is 100% overpruning but to me they cut at least 2 fronds too many

They shouldn’t have cut anything at all unless it was dead.

I agree with everyone above. That being said….is it going to die? No. You will be fine. Pindo’s don’t seem to mind being cut back. I’m guilty of being a little aggressive with my palms. I’d recommend buying some Sulfur Dust and applying liberally to the cuts to ensure no diseases start. You cannot over apply so have at it.

Yep, really pruning should be done vary sparingly.  I know people like to get a certain look on the palms, but I like the natural look.

Exactly what I was thinking. No fronds were completely brown. It was only damage from the once unrelenting heat

These are bullet proof in my area but , yea , way over pruned. It will come back but maybe you should let the gardener know not to prune your palms. I have a gardener that did that to my Pygmy Date Palms out front and I educated him . He had no idea how to prune palms . Mine are coming back strong now . As others have said , if it has color , leave it , if it is brown , cut it down. Harry

Over pruned for sure. Also appears to be planted too high in the pot. This is causing the lean, and is probably partially responsible for the burned fronds you were experiencing as any attempt at producing new roots gets air pruned. I would dump it out of that pot right now,and replant it deeper if possible. You may even need to find a taller pot if you can't plant it any deeper in the current one. A white colored pot is also better for the plant in a full sun exposure as dark pots absorb more heat and can cook the roots. Planting it in the ground would actually be the best option for plant longevity.

Yeah, get it out and place it in there again right now I agree but really when Pindos or really and palm is that long don't prune it at all unless ya know the leaves have been dead for a while or it's a special palm yeah just don't especially one in a pot.
