Young Brahea sp with damaged leaflets due to frost

I have this two young Brahea sp that were planted a year ago on the lowest and coldest part of the garden. One of them ( labeled Brahea aculeata) has some damaged leaflets with the light frosts we had here. According the nearby weather station ( +- 1 km from here) it was + 0.58 at 6:00 h  and reached -0.48⁰ at 8:00 h.  I was surprised by the differences in leaf hardiness of both species. The palm labeled Brahea elegans was intact.
