What’s going on with my Kentia palm? Yellow tears?

Help! What’s happening to my kentia palm? I just noticed it started developing these yellow tears/spots in its leaves when they were not there before. She looks healthy otherwise.

Also, the baby new frond has really bad brown tips before it’s even fully opened. How do I improve this?

Is there a bathroom where you have her?

Hey! I had a similar issue with my kentia palm. The yellow spots were from overwatering—just make sure the soil is drying out between waterings. Also, if your palm’s getting too much direct sun, that could be causing the issue too. For the brown tips on the new frond, I found that increasing the humidity around the plant helped. I use a humidity tray, and it made a big difference. Also, be careful with fertilizer; I had a problem with that once too.

She was temporarily moved in there for the night since there was some renovation work in the rest of the house. 🙂

Oh thank you so much!! I had a suspicion it was overwatering - the spots came up after the last watering. And noted on the humidity.

Good luck!
