One of the great Australian authors is David L Jones having written some great books knowing his stuff these books are an absolute must have in any collection well worth reading.

I only have that first one and it is very nice. I have a few other palm books but not by this author . My palm books sit on a table beside my chair in the living room , the rest of my books are all put away . I have cruised through all of them hundreds of times but still find something to look at in each one. Harry

I have the two first books and the first edition of the Cycads.  Most of all I enjoy the Palms in Australia. What puzzles me however is the information in latter book that Latania spp can be grown in warm temperate regions of Australia, while Bismarckia is given only for the subtropics. Quite reverse experience in my climate.

Yes I get a bit of laugh when I read the old version then the new one with what what he says will live and where but that’s with new people growing them in climates once thought they would not grow I don’t go by the books if it lives it lives or dies is the best way to judge if books where re written iam sure they would say different a bit like technology changes.

The good old coffee table books you can’t beat them iam always looking through the books I have.
