Never really tried growing Areca catechu until I was given a small tube stock one so I though a half dozen planted in a groups wouldn’t go astray in the garden time will tell if they grow in my area.

I had one do fine in my Perth garden for a few years. It had winter sun initially, then other things shaded it out and finally a cold winter took it. I think at your latitude with a good microclimate and some winter sun warmth (north facing protect from cold southerly winds) you could grow them well, as well as vestiara and rriandra.

Millbrook, "Kinjarling" Noongar word meaning "Place of Rain", Rainbow Coast, Western Australia 35S. Warm temperate. Csb Koeppen Climate classification. Cool nights all year round.

Hi Tyrone I have Areca concinna triandra red vestria orange vestria vidaliana doing well so iam hoping catechu does the same but I think you guys in WA get a bit more wind and cool weather than I do.

@Harry’s Palms sorry I used an Australian vulgarity.  I forget sometimes that language doesn't cross oceans.  It translates as my palms died, fairly quickly too.
