My arenaria is flowering again it does set viable seeds  that I have germinated before so hopefully this one will set some more seeds again it is a rare palm in my area but only a collectors palm not really up there with the bangalow golden cane buyers list oh how the public need education on exotic plants.

Nice plant! I hope you do get some more seed. I have one about this size as well and would love it if I were lucky enough to get viable seed and germinate it....

Solid zone 9, I can expect at least one night in the mid to low twenties every year.

Hot, dry summers. Cold, wet winters.

Thanks I thought they were a small palm until I seen some on palm talk if you do get seeds bottom heating a high constant 30 degrees Celsius they like it hot use spagnum moss baggie method good luck

Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me a lot of the times iam in my garden and see a palm flowering  and wow is first thought I have keep looking you just never know.

Looking good out here. Just checked today. I find it better to browse occasionally and be surprised than to micromanage every little growth detail. This was a good surprise.

 

I guess I should get serious with this batch and pay attention to when they are ripe. Heat mat is ready and waiting!!!

 

Not sure why, but now I feel like having some pineapple lol

Wait until they go light yellow orange colour and protect them from the rats let them fall off before picking they look good the flesh is super hard to clean good luck.
