Planted this little beauty 20 years back one tough palm the album this one has survived some pretty harsh conditions in a dry part of the garden without irrigation another couple of years and it will be a bit taller to view from the house.

They are a nice palm and yours looks very happy. I planted this Dictosperma album over twenty years ago under a deciduous tree to protect it from the harsh summer sun in Perth Western Australia but also to give it ample light and warmth in winter. It never looked back and is now breaking through the canopy of the deciduous tree. It is a matter of finding the right spot when growing palms in Perth, especially when they are young.

Love this palm.  Here is a picture taken in 2009 after about 10 years in the ground.  It's still there and much larger of course,  Sprouted some seeds a while back and after years in pots planted 3 out about a year ago in a group planting.  Love the BLUE fruit.
