The largest plant of a potted group of 3, has started producing long and thin structures from the axil of the last two leaves. I thought right after seeing them that they must be flagella, but they lack any trace of prickles.

I have one of these in my backyard in Sydney.  Its grown up high, then back down and all around. Whatever grows out of it is to get you.

I love them, but not people friendly.

The long thin things will grow into bad guys.

I had a c.moti before and it wanted to take over the backyard.

Those flagella will grab you quicker than a seagull onto a chip and not let go in my days of enduro motorcycle riding I have seen many a injury from them on the overgrown undergrowth trails my suggestion is to remove them.
