What fertilizer should I use for a young Windmill Palm and how do I plant it?

I’m looking for some help in planting my Windmill Palm that I just ordered over the weekend. This is what it should look like (image used on the Home Depot page selling the palm). Any tips for planting a windmill in NJ?

Honestly, I would start with Google searches of palmtalk to identify threads here that provide the sort of information you need. For us to provide recommendations,  you need to share information about the site, soil, sun, etc

I don't recommend fertilizing too soon.

Excavate the hole, mix the removed soil 50% with cow manure, and plant.

1. Hole should be oversized

2. Partially backfill below so the top of rootball is about a 1/2 inch above grade

3. Fill in around the sides.

4. Excess soil can be used to build an annulus around the plant to trap rain.

5. Top off with mulch

for me, my soil is acidic because i live in Bergen County. I don’t know if it drains well which is a big concern for me because i don’t want my windmill palm fronds to start yellowing.
