When your poor little Geonoma mooreana has been languishing in a seedling tube for 8 months and starting to go downhill what does one do ? In my case I thought a new pot with good potting mix might improve his chances or give him a quick end to the misery. Problem was finding a pot small enough.  I went burrowing through my junk room and found some toy terra cotta pots.  I drilled a drain hole, applied water proof sealant dusted off my trusty airbrush and opened a can of Baby's Bum Blush, then went to work. Here is the result, I think it looks good. It's been 3 weeks now and the little palm is looking better and has a teeny little spear starting to show.  I have included a 2 litre cola bottle for size comparison.

Looks better than most of mine Peachy. I think they are one of those touchy species when young (especially when subjected to the comparatively Antarctic climate down here). I think you might’ve gotten it to pull through the difficult phase; often the third spear is the sign that it’s grown out of that tiny seedling sensitivity.

Love the palm but I'd go with a different cola myself...
