I know it’s boring to most palm nuts but I love the Phoenix genus.

Anybody know where to find unusual hybrids?  Anyone have any interesting hybrids they could point me to?

I think most enthusiasts like the variety in the genus. Problems have arisen recently in Florida from lethal bronzing and in SoCal from So.American weevils.

You might try calling Phil Bergman at Jungle Music and see if he has any hybrids.

I thought about buying some hybrids from Mulepalmsofmississippi at one point.  They were growing Reclinata x Canariensis and some other interesting stuff.  I'm not sure if they still are, and I never bought any due to the impending LB threat.

Although it's not a hybrid, I think Phoenix rupicola is the prettiest of all the Phoenix genus.

Let's not forget lethal bronzing used to be dubbed "Texas Phoenix Palm Decline" and it originates (at least for southern US dispersal) and is still omnipresent  precisely where you just moved to 😜

Here's a cool Phoenix hybrid in Galveston (RIP?)
