Is this a member's garden near Home Depot in El Cajon, CA? Beautiful Parajubaea torallyis!

I was passing through El Cajon, CA and stumbled across this beautiful palm garden. They are probably the healthiest Parajubaea I have seen in California!

Parajubaea torallyi

Coccothrinax argentea

Chrysalidocarpus decaryi

Any chance it’s the office spaces built and landscaped by Greg Hamman? My dad and I visited him in his office years ago and it looks familiar. Great palms (and cycads) all over the place.

Yes! I saw a parking space designated to Greg Hamman, so I am guessing it is his! Is he active on palmtalk?

I've never seen him post here. But we've had a couple of garden tours at his home which were very impressive!

Yes.  This is my office.  It's where I put palms that need more sun than I can provide at my house ten minutes to the south.   Good on you for identifying the Parajubaea.  I have had professional nurserymen accuse them of being 'Mules' (a cross between Syagrus romanzoffianum and Syagrus schizophylla.

There are more interesting things as well - they just aren't as big.

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!
