The 'plastic' flowered anthuriums thrive in my climate, flower continuously and flowers get unusually large but that pink one is to die for.  Our nurseries only ever have the basic colours but at some of the various garden club events one can get lucky finds with unusual colours. @happypalmsIMG_4872.jpeg what is the name of this one please. It looks almost silver in the photo.

I came. I saw. I purchased

27.35 south.

Warm subtropical, with occasional frosts.

The name of that one is going to disappoint you for it’s a clumping dypsis onilahansis but definitely a winner

I'd guess either Wallichia Oblongifolia/Densiflora or Arenga Undulatifolia.

Thank you , I couldn’t think of that Undulatifolia name. I remember seeing it in my Palm book. It looks like happypalm’s with the ripple leaflets. Harry

Pink one came from neighborhood backyard nursery for $10, I’ve since seen similar named forms online and not for $10…

Thank you Possum,  I never did know the correct Linaeus nomenclature. They do so well for me and I would like a few more different colours.

My hobby is mining plants which for me means not only visiting nurseries but daily dredging of Craigslist, Facebook, market stands, plant sales etc in search of.  My one rule used to be if you encounter a plant you’ve never heard of buy it…but I no longer have the economic capacity and can only walk in big pain so I’m a semi-retired miner these days.

So true if you see a plant you want and finally find it only to not buy it is regret you may never see it again hence the name it as in it was available it was expensive it looked amazing it was a good find but I never purchased it always buy when you see a plant called it buy it no matter what it costs it is one rare plant 🌱
