Hi all, I'm coming to Orlando for a few days on business. Are there any nurseries that sell palms or cycads in liners or small pots? I need to be able to put them in my luggage. :)

I am most interested in cold hardy plants since I live in Houston.

Thanks, Daniel

My dad has a place in Sebring, so it's easiest for me to fly to Orlando.  I'm interested in what people have to say.

Can't help with nurseries, but depending on when you're going to be there, the Leu plant sale is next weekend.

You will have a tough time finding a retail nursery that will sell small palms. The smallest size would probably be a 3 gallon and I doubt that you would find anything that can’t be acquired at your local big box store. What you are looking for could possibly be found at a plant show or a wholesale nursery but Orlando is not a Mecca like South Florida. MB Palms is the only place I can think of that has a presence in the Orlando area. And as previously stated, the Leu Gardens sale is March 9/10. MB is listed as a vendor.

Lukas Nursery in Oviedo is the only public nursery around here with any semi-rare palms, but they sell 3g and larger.  If you are here for the Leu Gardens sale, MB Palms usually has a couple of tables of liners of rare stuff.  They had Joeys and all kinds of neat stuff last year.  They are having an open house in April 13-14.  Here's the price list for last year's smaller stuff:
