Simple question.  Does Livistona decipiens perform well in the hotter, inland areas or desert?  Please let me know.

According to my new acquired "Encyclopedia of Cultivate Palms this in an inland plant it "grows in open woods or along the edges of forest and in swampy areas near the coast."  I would definitely not a desert plant based on that.  If you have one I would love to see some pictures of it.  I just bought a plant labeled Livistonia decipens, but suspect it is not what I actually got.

Seems happy in Riverside... I have two growing. Both are small.. just a few years from 5 gal. But they're happy.

Mine are exposed to hot inland temps and grow like weeds each summer. Sorry I can't speak for the desert guys.........

Solid zone 9, I can expect at least one night in the mid to low twenties every year.

Hot, dry summers. Cold, wet winters.
