Palms @ Fantasy Fest, Key West

Halloween celebrations take on many forms but only in Key West Florida will you find one like Fantasy Fest.

Bringing a camera is a must as you will see things in public that are rarely see even at the best festivals.

Little did I know that palms would be a part of the party!

Here are a few such palm related pictures that I took. Moderators need not worry, none of the palms are naked but some do have body paint!

These were on the back of a float.

OK......Ken,

Thanks for sharing that mug to the world! Could you have given me a little heads up, maybe? Well, you can certainly see my addiction to palms. I wear a palm charm 24/7 around my neck and my shirt( actually bought at the Hawaii biennial) is loaded with palms.

All in all, it was a hell of alot of fun and just a real "circus" atmosphere. But like Ken said, there was lots of palm leaves and palms on many of the floats.

Oh, and the beads, they were there to give away to the right "person" at the "right" moment. :D

Hello Jeff

Oh would I love to go back to Fantasy Fest again! We were there in 2000 and had a blast and got the pictures to prove it! Never knew that some body parts  could like with a little imagination and some paint! Hope the crowd on Duval St were as much fun and NO ugly language just good fun.

Ken- please count me in as a fan of "Mounds".  The treat made from coconuts.  PM works fine.  :D

PS- I'm not particularly a fan of "Almond Joys"....

This is me serving jello shots on the way to Key West. We had 45 people on a bus with 120 shots and lots of palm toddy too.

The palms in Key West are great, even Cyrtos. The people are even better. I will look for more palm pics from this series but I will have to WEED through many people pics.

PM me for the "gone wild" editions!
