Decided to have a look-see at the windmill.

No snow since late December, temperature in the upper 40. Not bad for February, next week is a different story.....

This will be it's 3rd winter in ground.

Wow! How cold did it get in early January there?

We got down to -20 celcius once ( 0 farenheit)

It's looking good so far. Last year it took quite a beating, moisture built up....this year I'm wrapping it more loosely (vents)

I'm considering opening up the needle palm we early march, if these temps keep up.

Wow, and it still lingers on the ground? That's rough. That's some serious dedication to growing a palm tree.

Good work! I have a windmill but it's in a pot still (Winters in the garage)  Just bought a needle palm and sable minor that will be shipped to me in late May. My place hit 59F yesterday and another day above 50F today
