Hi,

I’m growing a Traveler’s palm not a true palm in my bedroom. It’s healthy and receives bright direct to indirect light during the day facing an east window.

Looks good, thanks for posting!!

I have two which came in one pot but I separated them .. I bring them outdoors for the summer

the bigger of the two is now touching the ceiling

against the wall in this pic are: on left traveller, centre traveller and on the right I believe is a white bird of paradise and.... various banana plants surrounding them

I tried starting seeds of the Guyanese kind but had no success

youres looks good!

Looks like mine. They are surprisingly tough plants. I also keep it indoors in winter but this will be the last time. Next time it will be in the ground with protection.

Hi,

Unfortunately, my Travelers palm died from what I think could’ve been overwatering. I was going to be on vacation for three weeks and didn’t want the plant to dry up.

Oh no, sorry to hear. Did you use some automatic watering system?

Hi Than,

I did not use any automatic watering system. I water my plants using a mist bottle.

So how was it watered during your absence?
