Finally got around to posting an update on my Baronii “Black Stem” from @Darold Petty. Here it is…..

Heres my update. The emerging 2nd spear has turned into another trunk as expected. Still trucking along. I wouldn’t call it fast nor slow. I have about 15 plants that are considerable slower. I’m ok with it.

……another year down. Not too much different look, just larger scale. Still healthy and nice coloring.

i've germinated them from seed once and purchased seedlings from Floribunda twice. ALL have died.

But, being the hardheaded collector i am,.I bought this 3 gallon plant in Miami last weekend and figured if i can start with a 3 gallon size, perhaps I have a chance. (they hate our high temps and wet summers here.)
