This C. loucoubebsis, ( previously D. ampasindavae), is becoming an impressive palm. Growing fairly fast and typically different shades of green, the leaf sheath has recently turned this yellow/orange color. Usually the color appears after frond drop, so kind of a nice surprise. On a fairly steep slope, great drainage, and of course, lots of water. Still a youngster and growing up nicely.

Very nice Tim.  The shovel in the last few photos really does help provide scale.  My initial impression was a narrower trunk than when seen with the shovel.  Don't ever lose that shovel!

I absolutely need to get an order in this spring… wanted to this past spring but i kept putting it off
