2013 from about March to December, I will show you photos from initial sprouting to the night they all died.  I tried to find the original post, couldn't find it.  approx. 80 deg. F in my germinator box and 3 to 4 weeks I had 100% germination.... I obtained 6 inch growth during this period, BUT don't let them see anything below 35 deg. F when they are seedlings.  The Palmpedia temperatures are when they are adult in size..  Dec. 6, 2013, they all died after moving them all into my race car trailer, still too cold.

Just cleaned the seeds, are they suppose to look like this? The one on the left is uncleaned and the one on the right is cleaned.

I grew mine from seed and found them to be easy. In Hollywood you could probably just germinate them in a community pot and then separate them after a few leafs. Growth rate is moderate for the first few years but once they form a trunk they seem to grow faster. When mine were smaller I thought one would look cool next to the house on the edge of the driveway. 10 years later and Im going to have to remove it because its roots are lifting up the pavers. If you have the room they look really good in group planting.
