Did you know the new usda map shows Maine as usda 6b and now 7a as of 2023?

Shoreline areas but ill attest to no below zero temps in 2020-2021 on my property

Even on the hi-res and a 27-in monitor I can't see it. Must be islands 30 miles off the SE coast.

7a is the lighter green, call the usda to change their colors if you can’t see the difference. I know the area I ride the island daily and work on the water so I’d think I understand the temps on the coast when we don’t go below zero.

Maybe come May, you can ferry out and plant the first Rhapidophyllum.

Dude, I have three different palms in MAINE that’s outside and I’ve successfully kept them alive for four winters, I’m not looking for your advice or opinion.
