Question About Yellow Coconut Palms

Recommended Posts

I purchased a Yellow coconut palm from Everglades Nursery. The petioles are orange. Should they be yellow as the coconuts them will produce when it matures?

It sounds like it was sold as a Golden Malayan and looks the part for the time being.  Red Spicata sometimes has a similar look with the color of the petioles having a deeper color.  Interested to see what others thoughts are as well.

It is looking great, Carl; I would say "the more orange, the better"! But hé, I am Dutch!
