New Orleans/Baton Rouge Palms

Hello everyone, I just wanted to check and see if there were any palm people on the forum in the New Orleans or Baton Rouge area that might have any suggestions about neat places to go explore. Also are there any palm or cyad groups that meet? I living part time in the area every week while I’m in school and really would take advantage of this opportunity. Thanks

So I live in Lake Charles. That's a couple hours to the west but all similar weather. You should check out Avery Island, La. The tabasco factory has an incredible garden tour with miles of tropical gardens and other things. New Orleans is the best around these areas for tropical plants overall. We will just go to the garden district,  park the car and get a drink and walk around looking at the miles of beautiful old homes and courtyards with tropical plant. That is one of my favorite things to do. Is that kind of what you had in mind?

Thanks!

Hi Kurt, thanks for those ideas! I will definitely have to look into Avery island. Ironically I just got back from a few drinks uptown. You will have to let me know next time you are in town and I will join y’all. Have a great night man.
