Ofind
This palm has been struggling inside for over a year now. I have new African violet potting mix for it but I read you shouldn’t repot if the plant is in distress. I was away for two weeks and I don’t think my house sitter took proper care of it. I’ve been trying to rehab it since. It has plenty of indirect sunlight and water (not too much). I mist it, I clean off its leaves, I tried 9-8-7 fertilizer on its “sibling” and it did not make it (same age, same nursery, same size). I live in 9B and I’m thinking about planting it outside to save it. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've lost 2 of these as indoor plants but had no issues with them in the ground. Hopefully others would have better advice but it looks to me that the 3 smallest stems are beyond help (not enough water or poor draining medium?). I think the largest stem should be fine with proper care. I don't know if putting it in the ground will help this one at this point but once it's growing healthy again I personally would plant it out. 1 Jon Sunder

Once left completely dry out, most of the stems die.
