More space to grow and more water I’m guessing

Too dry. I hope it hasn't been out in the sun this summer.

... and water the poor thing so as to soak the soil thoroughly within the container. Quite often, dry soil will not properly absorb water unless it's at least tepid and repeated.

Sun scorch will show on the upper(sun) side of the leaves.

Those leaves are shriveling(closing up) most likely due to not enough water.

Or too much fertilizer

Maybe others can chime in on palm resuscitation approaches. Looks like it needs the best TLC!

Looks like drought damage to me. Have the roots been hurt at sometime maybe? If your temperatures allow it's best to leave it outside in winter. For the next dry/warm/hot season I would put a pot plate under the palm. That way the water can really soak the rootball. Trachys can handle too much water way better than drought.

I agree with others that it was allowed to dry out . They are very hardy palms and this one should recover with proper care.
