Anyone have squirrels chewing the petioles on their Trachys?

I had a rabbit eat one but didn’t seem to like it after a few bites.

They're just rats with fluffy tails. I have never seen a squirrel here.

Sprinkle some blood means around the palm and wet it. Scares the hell out them.

I know rabbits like Trachycarpus; not so much S.minor. Try fox urine.

Yeah they tore up my trachycarpus' trunk when they were making their nests in the spring. I bought spray that's supposed to keep them away, it seems to be working.

Sorry, I meant to write Blood Meal. Available at any hardware store or garden center.

Thank you! I did get the rubber black snake…watched it cause one squirrel to make a U-turn…😂…I’ll get some blood meal, too…good for the palm and not something they’ll figure out is fake.
