In this area it seems to be CIDP.

CIDP specimens have been documented to have survived below -10f. 

Near 100% survival with trunking specimens at 0f. 

I don't think the actual cold hardiness is truly known yet for CIDP. 

DACT have survived -5f and recovered.

Have anybody tried Phoenix acaulis, it's native range is in the Himalaya's so I was wondering if anyone knew how hardy it is.

Phoenix theoprastii 'Epidaurus' is probably the hardiest Phoenix. 

Some documents state, almost as hardy as Jubaea

I wonder about this since I see CIDP recovering all over the place here, but no other types of Phoenix, granted theoprastii is very rare, so not as well tested. One of the oldest Jubaeas in San Antonio also didn't make it through the big freeze, while CIDPs did. They seem to bounce back better than even Butia.

I swear i've heard of one of those growing in Raleigh
