Im excited to plant my incoming everglade palm and just wanted to see other peoples on here, I don't see them often on palm talk or lots of pictures in landscaping in personal gardens so I would love to see them if you got them! 😍

They are all so beachy looking, I hope I can get mine to a decent size where I live because it would make sure a cool backyard side entrance plant with all the skinny trunks! thanks for sharing! I really love something about the very skinny trunks, I can imagine they look pretty when they sway in the wind 😍

I noticed mines picked up speed after 2 or 3 years in the ground so I'm sure yours is really gonna take off this year 👍

I have actually noticed it picked up speed this spring so I'm hoping that in a couple years mine will look at least like yours.  I might pick up another one later if you still have any left.

They are a 9a palm so online is the way to go 👍

If you're in Charleston, call a couple places in St. Augustine. I've been to Leonardi's and to Southern Horticulture.

Here is my "Cerifera" version from TCHP.  I bought it in early 2021, and planted it in October 2021.  It probably needs a handful of Magnesium Sulfate:

I have a few small 5 gallons & maybe 1 or 2 three gallons. I was waiting to grow them out a bit to sale. It would probably be cheaper to get them closer to you if you can. Shipping would be really high but if your still interested PM me 👍

Usually I take a picture when I plant stuff, but not this time!  So I found a photo from 2/3/22, just a couple of days after the worst freeze I've recorded here.  It was 24-26F in the backyard and 27F in the front yard, with heavy frost 2 nights in a row.  This one took no significant damage.  As you can see from the out-of-focus picture it was only 1 stem at the time.  It looks like it's been spending energy growing more stems instead of growing taller.

This is mine!! These are suckering fools they sucker as bad as phoenix dactylifera they don’t just sucker from the base but also sucker up the trunk I’m glad that I only have one and wished I didn’t have it but I’m not one to edit out a palm that I planted only remove seedlings!!!

This looks great! How old is this one? Why do you wish you didn’t have it?

@ZPalms the same reason I wish I didn’t have any phoenix dactylifera they sucker like crazy they are full of thorns there are many chamaerops in Phoenix and I’m a gardener so I knew better than to plant those but did sucker out for a ceirfera but wish I hadn’t!!!

I didn't know acoelorrhaphe had thorns, I just had to palmpedia to take a closer look, luckily I don't mind sharp plants but It's definitely good to note since I did plant it in a walking path area 😂

At least they are great to view from a distance 🤩

They are neat looking palms that’s why I planted one!! Too make a single trunk like that one is a lot of work continually removing suckers I have seen single trunk chamaerops and reclinata but they are a lot of work!!!

I had this palm tree for almost 30 years, always indoors. She died because she wasn't given any (or too little?) water while I was away. Actually, she should have always stood in 5 to 10 cm of water (wet feet).

Dang that sucks, have you thought about getting another? Would it have been ok if you let it sit in water indoors?
