Studio 5 Mall

I went into the Studio 5 Mall here in Manaus the other day to get some money from an ATM and took the side entrance which has a bridge over a very nice natural looking garden.  The area has a natural spring and contains a nice grove of Euterpe olearcea and precatoria, some Oenocarpus and other native plants.  The bridge is around 15 to 20 feet off the ground and is a great little walk.  I guess Manaus is really a tropical place and this garden makes you feel it.

Side of the mall mirrowed windows.

I took these pictures with my new Nokia N 73 camera cell phone.  It has a great Carl Zeis lens and takes pretty good pictures and with this my camera is always ready.

Don - All that's at a Mall? Very impressive. There should be a federal law mandating malls here have thought and imagination with the use of palms and other tropicals.  :D

Naturally Minneapolis would be excempt...

Thanks for the pics. Great stuff.

Thanks guys.  I am glad that whoever designed the project for the mall managed to save a bit of the envirnonment that was there before the mall was made.
