Transplant shock.

So I'm thinking about moving my trachycarpus closer to my pool.

How long will it be in shock 🤔 can I expect it to grow at all? So far we are having seasonal temperatures and it has been slowly pushing new growth.

Thanks for your reply in advance. 20230420_194918.thumb.jpg.3315fb8a2272206db4f75fae40a0343d.jpg

How long has it been there?  Trachy will move well but this one looks to be under a little stress already.  I would make sure it's growing well before moving (A frond or 2).  Dig out as far as you can up to 18 inches out and down and drag it over on a tarp

It might set back growth a year is my guestimate to your original question.  It may grow some this year but slowly if you move it.
