While in town for a conference we had a amazing dinner with Dr Dransfield..Dr Pete Balasky and Jeff Searle joined...between the 3 of them they have made probably over 40 trips to Madagascar. 

Possibly the largest in cultivation...Dr D explains to Greg K the discovery by a cashew farmer

facinating to learn the cashew plantation which Mr Metz managed was created as a carbon offset for a prawn farming project.

Taken so far as to uproot trees and grind them up to determine the amount of carbon sequestered.

You can see why they thought Tahina was a form of Corypha when they saw it at a distance. It’s just enormous.

@waykoolplantz The Tahina looks like it grew a good bit since we were down 2.5 years ago.
