Termite attack on Washingtonia filifera juvenile

Fusca

Recommended Posts

First time I've ever seen a termite tunnel up on the newest spear of a young planted palm.  There's a large population in this part of my property but thankfully no evidence of any around the house (I've had the house treated shortly after buying the property).  I washed away the new construction project and I'll keep an eye on it going forward.

Between ground termites and ants, not sure which is worse for Washingtonia here.

I believe that the fire ants here feed on the termites but massive populations of both can't be good!
