chuckg
I don't have a pollinator. That is what I am looking for. The seeds do not ripen, they just stay small and fall off. The plant has about 10 feet of trunk. Chuck G.
Darold Petty
I can ship you a few seedlings, PM me if interested. If I send 3 seedlings I believe the odds of a male would be 87.5 % ? San Francisco, California

If I send 3 seedlings I believe the odds of a male would be 87.5 % ? Darold, do they pollinate pretty easily? Any human intervention needed if they are growing together? I have a 4 pack near flowering age so we'll see what we get there, and 2 males a ways away... Darold Petty
I don't really know, my grove of 6 or 7 mature plants does make seed but not on a regular basis. I do not attempt to hand pollinate. Many of my palms flower but seldom set seed. I blame this on my always cool and humid climate. My palms that most readily seed are Chamaedorea radicalis, (both forms) and Hedyscepe. chuckg
I did find some seedlings at Floribunda but still no large plants. They used to be fairly common, but had not seen any for sale at any size on the internet for years. Chuck G
