What's up!

Just starting this thread because I was curious to see what types of palms that they had going on across the Indian subcontinent. India being the main area, but also suitable areas of Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri-Lanka, Maldives, and more

Personally, the region that I am most interested in is the Assam Valley area: that is a rather poleward extending tropical valley, so I want to see what they have going on there.

Thank you all.

Welcome to Palm Talk.  The person that I first thought of is @Kris as he is from that area, joined back in 2006 with over 11,000 posts.  The information source you will find the most helpful is starting with this discussion forum, going up towards the top right and enter a single search topic like INDIA.  When you have exhausted that, enter another location.

We used to have a member @doranakandawatta who grew palms in Sri Lanka. He is no longer on the board, but perhaps reviewing his posts, you'll find some of what interests you.

Fair enough then. Thanks for the information, I guess this thread can be deleted then.
