Yep-

When I see temps below 20f coming , the palm goes under a double plastic tarp with a heat tape added to the incandescent xmas lights around the trunk and spear. Not as good as the systems I've read about here, but this will be its 3rd winter and the crown grows back fast. I guess keeping rain and snow off the raised bed helps. Warm weather calls for pulling the tarps.
