Please help me to figure out what is wrong with my licuala grandis palm 😭 I’ve purchased this in July. At the beginning the tips were yellowing so I thought there should be something with watering. I water this with distilled water since then. It’s in front of an eastern window and get indirect light. Also, I placed a humidifier near that (not very close though) 

Recently I noticed that it’s becoming yellow/brown everywhere. I started treating it with neem oil (cause I suspect spider mites) but it’s just getting worse. 

Please help me to recover this beauty that came along all the way from FL to Southern CA 😭

Is it used as an indoor plant? Does it get cold air or too much sun? Licualas tend to like shady places that are warm and humid.

    I don't see anything that looks like spider mite damage.  Instead, I think the translucent spots are probably a Potassium deficiency and lack of water.  I'd add some Osmocote and keep it moist but not drenched.  Licuala Grandis are swamp-dwelling palms and they HATE to dry out.  I lost one about twice that size because it fell over during a storm and wasn't getting sprinkled every day.  Your soil mix and watering schedule is going to be critical to making it survive long-term.
