Is Chambeyronia macrocarpa var. 'hookeri' as cold hardy as Chambeyronia macrocarpa

According to PalmPedia the Flame Thrower is considered cold hardy. They can resist temperatures down to 25 degrees F.  Does this go for "hookeri" as well?

I have both types planted in the East Side of my yard which is the colder side and both have seen 29 degrees multiple times the past 2 winters with no damage.

Here is a new red flame leaf on my Chambeyronia macrocarpa var. 'hookeri', planted as a small 3gal 3 years ago. Located in Longwood Fl zone 9b. Last 2 winters it saw 27 degrees, no damage under oak canopy. Likes a heavy mulching each year that holds moisture in the soil at all times, along with 3x a year feeding schedule with palm specific granular fertilizer.

Steve while I can't address the cold hardiness in freezes since I haven't hed that problem in my gardens, I can address my experience with overall vigor of the two palms.  Hookeri form has grown faster and looked better, as well as having consistently deeper maroon color leaflets.  I am growing in both clay and sandy soil with equal success when mulched and well watered.
