Every January for the past few years I have been sending $100 to the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars). Every month I get something from them asking for more and they include Xmas/Birthday cards, note pads, calendars etc.
Has anyone here know of anyone that they have helped? I'm beginning to wonder if the VFW is really a Chinese fund raising organization as EVERYTHING the send me seems to be made in China.
Talked to another Vet the other day. He has been doing the same with the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) and he gets tons of the same CRAP every month.
Do these organizations really HELP Vets? Or are they just money making organizations for someone?
