Fungus forming on decaying palm crown shafts

Rain has finally returned to St. Augustine and along with it has come fungus growing from decaying crown shafts on my Areca catechu dwarf.
It doesn’t appear to be the dreaded soil borne disease because it’s not at the base of the palm. However, can someone help me confirm that it is harmless?

Thanks.

I agree. I have three Areca catechu dwarfs and this is the only one to not shed its crown shaft and the first year for this one.

I have a normal A. Catechu and it never got fungus like that even with the heavy rains of some days ago, probably because I live in a dry area.

It doesn't look like Ganoderma.  The closest I could come on online photos was Plicatura Crispa, but that is definitely NOT a positive ID.  :D
