Lightning hit near our palm and the bark popped off.  There exposed roots under the bark.  Can I wrap the tree in something to help it heal?

Palms don’t heal just let it be maybe it will survive maybe not but it won’t heal however it looks is how it will look!!

The tree may die, which is what happens usually after a tree gets struck by lightning, but not all trees die! It may have a chance depending on what it looks like.

Don't some palms end up becoming hydras after lightning strikes? or does that happen rarely or specific palms?

Maybe Im thinking of something else but I could of sworn their was a sabal that was struck by lightning and it grow another head
