Hello

I have many Christmas palms in my back yard; some are twins and some are singles. They're seed stalks or branches produce many palm offspring when they drop, and their small white flowers land in my pool. So, I cut them off as soon as they are visible. I don't want more palm trees.

1. How tall or long do those palms grow? Some of mine are above 30 feet.

2. What happens to them when they're done growing? Do they stop producing fronds? Do they die off slowly?

3. Am I harming them somehow by cutting off the seed branches, or whatever they're called?

Thanks

Not sure how tall these get. 30 ft is pretty big though.

It will probably be a very long time before they just stop growing unless they get a disease or something.

By cutting off the flowers you are not hurting the palm, it will actually allow the palm to focus its energy and nutrients on putting out more fronds.
