So this evening I found a beetle on my coconut I've been seeing click beetles but this one's different I think it could have been a rhinoceros beetle not all of them have horns so this one concerned Me. I only got these pics of it and then it flew off when I tried to grab him.

You would probably need closer photos of the beetle to ID it properly.  If you happen to catch one, compare it to these: https://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/orn/palms/Oryctes_rhinoceros.htm

If it turns out to be one, contact the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services 1-800-HELP-FLA (1-800-436-7352).

Man that a tough ID with that pick.   Are those yellow spots or bars on the back?   Or just a reflection.   Did it have a pointy nose?   Without the head or butt-end in view it’s hard to tell.

Definitely need better pictures for a good id...

From first glance, looks too small to be that sp. in the picture. Compare to iNat data: < pictures w/ Coconut rhinos in a hand esp. >

Could be a Sugar Cane or Triceratops Beetle however. Both are common in FL.:

Thanks, I think I was just over concerned as I know the damage the beetles can cause.

Yeah I tried to pick him off but he fell ig he flew off so that was the best I got I went back out at night to see if I found more there wasn't anymore yet but I'm definitely keeping a close eye because I used to see rhino beetles here when I was a kid I used to catch them.
