The pollen from the Deglet Nour i will use to pollinate the Invitro Medjool later this season. these deglet nour got it bad , re transplanting during lot of rain after 2 years they didnt acclimate well yet, this last 3 months we have 2 months of rain who affected them again, but none died, 2 small ones got their centerfront molding from moisture and cold this winter. i hoping for some dates this season, but it seems the summer is much shorter here, long winter, more water and shorter summer, like in september and october back in winter and it wont allow the dates to fully mature, i got 3 varieties of dactylifera and this time i feel more sinchronised...will store some pollen, doesnt come much from them though...this tree was affected with what they called in spain "paysandia" i found worns getting out the trunk wehn i received it 2 years ago. it was fumigated but now i fumigate much less. he lost some old fronds from re transplanting during last windy days, its not me pruning it like this.... but i trust he can now grow well. and lot of trees were affected with fongus from the rain we had.

all Deglet Noor male and female, these were transplanted but had many offshoots (from 8 to 20 offshoots, i choose these for offshoots) and they acclimate much faster. they ve been growing very well. they ve been pollinated yesterday, they still have male pollen branches around, will get some bags to protect the dates from todopalmera for later on.

Deglet Nour produces for me the best pollen in terms of both quality and quantity. Here is a spath of a cut inflorescence full of pollen
